Based on his Stainless Steel Rat series, he appears to have been an absolutely committed athiest and humanist. His loved ones definitely need our prayers.

Soylent Green is a very loose adaptation of Harrison's novel,
Make Room! Make Room! The novel mainly dealt with overpopulation, but the movie introduced a conspiracy that was not in the book.
