Etymology:
1640s, from Gk. demagogos "leader of the people," from demos "people" (see demotic) + agogos "leader," from agein "to lead" (see act). A term of disparagement ever since it was first used in Athens, 5c. B.C.E. As a verb, attested by 1980s, Amer.Eng.

HOPEFULLY they get that. are they getting that in PA? what do your letters to the editor look like up there? what are you hearing on the highways and byways of the Greensburg district?
We didn’t vote for him in this county last time, and I don’t think he’s winning anyone over.
There are no yard signs out yet and the occasional bumper sticker sighting is rare.
WV coal miners union isn’t endorsing anyone, which is a step in the right direction. i hope that the Romney/Ryan peeps in PA are hammering home the COAL situation under the Obams, bc PA is vulnerable on that score. lots of billboards on the turnpike about coal.
i saw on the twit that the Shades of Grey perimenopausal set is ready to vote for Ryan/Romney, and i can vouch for that since i had coffee with my st james mom friends on Sat AM, just after Ryan was announced and everyone was agog over how cute he is ; )

Mr. Magoo was on the Sunday circuit yesterday, and attacked the Won more pointedly and more often in 5 minutes, than he did in the 5 months of his campaign.
Had he spoken like that in 2008, Barack Obama would be a skidmark on the wikipedia entry for the 2008 election, instead of being one on our History.

well, we do have the tendency of being like reverse Pauline Kaels, and thinking that its so OBVIOUS everyone will see it for what it is. but reality through the eyes of libs is very very different. i am prepared to accept the two different visions as an apt comparison, but we may fall short of those buying the SELF RELIANCE vision as opposed to those preferring the gov’t teat version.

how's the MSM portrayed those? is is commonly accepted that those people threw obams under the bus? i don't think that's the common wisdom, though we saw it happen. MSM isn't leaving that impression.
