Obama, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan - so many demagogues - so little time!

the 28 yo son of one of my best friends is heading to Jerusalem at the end of this month.
if i were Janice, i would be doing my darndest to talk him out of it. one of xsbaby's favorite HS teachers is heading to jordan with his defense contractor wife and their infant daughter for a year for work. He's another one i'd be attempting to dissuade. The Middle East is all of a piece in a nuclear conflagration, one can't say oh Jordan is better than some places, because that's largely irrelevant.

The left seems to be particularly susceptible to demagoguery.

"time to go to work." Perhaps, but I can linger long enough for this.
We will all soon have plentiful examples of both demagoguery and narcissism in one person as 0bama goes tearing off the rails over the selection of Ryan to be Vice President.
Ryan represents everything that he abhors and detests, mathematics and problem-solving.

Here yah go...
Joseph J. Ellis wrote a book called "Founding Brothers, The Revolutionary Generation."
One of the Amazon.com reviews for this book says "This book is really unique in that it
gives a really interesting perspective not only on the men [our founding fathers] , but the
dynamic between them." Now in that book by this renowned historian you will find
some tasty information on the origination of the word "democrat." Many times I've told you that our founding fathers were none too fond of the idea of democracy, or, as they viewed it, mob rule.
Here's the quote: "...the term "democrat" originated as an epithet and referred
to 'one who panders to the crude and mindless whims of the masses.'"
....from Neal Brootz
