There is one benefit to their lifestyle.
They don’t know what a Kardashian is.
No lazy, arrogant parasitical political junkies subsisting off other people’s efforts and cursing them for being prosperous, either.
Fascinating.
They see wealth or poverty as being better or worse off than somebody else, rather than being well enough off to enjoy whatever necessities or luxuries one desires. The admit being motivated by pure Envy and Pride. Last time I checked, those were among the "Seven Deadly Sins".

Bachelor of Arts doesn’t mean the subject is an ‘art’ but is part of the overall Liberal Arts umbrella- conceptual versus tangible studies. (in contrast to engineering, medicine, law, etc). Much of the basic studies of Criminology is conceptual unless you run a parallel field such as the medical or biological aspect.
Humanism and covetousness go hand in hand.
The series “Beyond Survival” details the existence and unlikely continuation of such cultures. While I want to sympathize with the narrator’s laments that such cultures will soon be lost for various reasons, I just kept returning to the observation “well, yeah...” Prime example being one ocean-oriented culture that barely hangs on by fishing...with bare hooks.
One of the cruelest things I read is when liberals want to ‘protect’ these cultures by keeping them isolated from modern society; not having a choice if they want to not starve or die before they are 30 from a parasite. They are treated almost like zoo animals to liberals instead of humans.
That comes from their evolutionary assumptions that thEse people aren’t “people” like we are, but some lesser animal species to be protected.
The lib’s are seething with envy for sure. My lib brother once told me that he wouldn’t mind giving up a good portion of his own wealth, as long as most of the wealth of the rich guy living up the street was confiscated.

I saw the answer to that in one of the survival in the wild shows. The guy thought a jaguar was stalking him and he ran for the nearest jungle village. He found the villagers huddling together in fear in a hut
Well then, I hope some of those liberals get their wish!
