"Also other countries are funding their male Olympic sports stars more than what we do." This is EXACTLY my point. Sheesh!

We place more emphasis on professional sports, not amateur sports such as the Olympics..Does not mean our men are emasculated or becoming more woosified as you say and does not mean we are not progressing.

Let's compare out professional mens teams to other countries mens teams...no comparison.

Well... other than soccer, of course. And the Canadians might have a thing or two to say about hockey.

That’s a very good point. Even though the line between amateur and professional competition has been erased in the Olympics, a lot of these events are still “amateur” in the U.S. because there simply is no professional venue to pursue a career. Like, what does a gymnast do to become a “professional” in the U.S.?
