mean (or arithmetic mean) =

the mean obtained

by adding several quantities together and dividing the sum by the number of

quantities: the arithmetic mean of 1, 5, 2, and 8 is 4.

median =

the middle number in a given sequence of numbers, taken as

the average of the two middle numbers when the sequence has an even number of

numbers: 4 is the median of 1, 3, 4, 8, 9.

Origin of mean:

Origin of median:

We go back a long way way.

But I need to remind you of two things.

I can’t understand a word of it and I feel sorry for the girl on the left, trying to keep up. My sister does zumba with a friend and enjoys it too. I’ll stick to running in the park and swimming.

Our district just moved the 5th grade over to the middle school making 4 seperate grades there.

Thank the good Lord my contact came in and I was able to pick it up. I knew my glasses would slide off my face last night so I just wore the one. Did the same for work today. Two eyes are much better than one.

Nashville Metro has gone to year-round schedules and they started last week. We start on Friday. I think it’s so stupid to start school on a Friday, with just a half day to boot.
