I am not a fan of wheat beers either. I bought a six pack of Blue Moon wheat ale a few months ago and after trying one I ended up just pouring the rest down the drain. Now that was something I never thought I would do to a bottle of beer!
I would never do that!
I would keep it around for guest to try. If any like it, give it away.
That is what I did with a Great Lakes Cherry Wheat I bought many moons ago. (It was Horrible)
See, this is the very thing that frustrates the heck out of me. Mega brewers produce garbage scow bilge and through millions in marketing lead people to think that they are producing something they are not. In this case, a wheat beer. Yes, it has wheat in it, but likely has lots of rice and/or corn as well.
There are amazing wheat beers out there and their flavor profiles are very diverse. I’ll admit that some wheat beers are an acquired taste (Berliner Weisse for example), but there’s nothing better on summer day than a properly brewed whet beer.

I bought a six-pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo. I tried one and poured the rest down the sink.
I wish we lived next door; I would have taken that Blue Moon off your hands. : )
Wheat Beer needs a lemon squeeze, like ice tea.
Did you try it with a lemon?
You bought the absolute worst kind of wheat beer you could possibly buy. There are other wheat beers that are better, although they are not as good as barley ale IMO.
BTW, all wheat beer is ale, not lager...in case you didn’t already know that. As far as I know there is no such thing as wheat lager. I have never come across any so far. The german tradition is to ale all wheat beers, and in germany, wheat beer is considered a health-drink for senior citizens. Young people never touch it.
OMG!
Beer battered shrimp, fish, mushrooms, zuccinni all make crappy beer worth saving!
FOR SHAME!!!
Should have baited slug/snail traps in the garden with it. Or used it to spray aphids. ;-')
Herbs love wheat beer and so do Christmas cacti. I know from experience.
I’m not a fan of wheat beers in general but Anderson Valley Brewing (NorCal) makes a good one. Tastes great even without lemon.
I happened to buy it without looking closely at the label, otherwise I’d have seen “Wheat Beer” and put it back on the shelf.
