Maybe your problem is that you are trying to tie Conservatism to Religion. They are different you know.

Conservatism involved the original forefathers ideals of government for this country. Limited government, State control, limited Federal control, etc. Religion was part of the Constitution, but not part of the government.

Quit trying to intermingle the two!

So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.

When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "The Wages of Sin is Death."

In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "If you don't work you die."

Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,

I am a huge Beck fan when on Fox he educated many of us on this
site!!!! Beck has also educated himself on this country’s true history!!!
Beck has a way to get people to act!!! Beck is the sole reason for the

I think even some of our own have fallen for the desire to hold fashionable opinions, and it has become fashionable to bash Glenn Beck. I am afraid that some on this site have convinced themselves that Beck is some kind of clown because it makes it easier for them to laugh along with their liberal acquaintances, rather than having to muster the courage to defend what he says.

My wife and I both attended Restoring Love, including the FreePAC and Under God Indivisible events. Those two forums combined with the event at Cowboys Stadium and the day of service perfectly encapsulated everything we need to do to reclaim the real America that we all seek.

We also attended Restoring Honor in DC two years ago. While some appeared mystified by what Glenn was up to with that and subsequent events, I understood it completely at the time. His point was that aside from the political wrangling, we would never achieve success unless WE became the type of people that the Founders knew were essential in order for the American experiment to work. Specifically, we have to be a people that depends upon and is guided by God. The Founders knew this. That is why John Adams said that our constitution was designed “...only for a moral and religious people...” and was “...wholly inadequate to the governance of any other.”

As others have mentioned, Glenn Beck was also instrumental in kick-starting the Tea Party movement, via his 9/12 Project. My wife and I were also in DC in 2009 for the huge protest and I would say that Glenn and the 9/12 Project deserved much of the credit for its occurrence.

And today, Beck is pioneering the amazing GBTV network and relentlessly expanding its scope. For all of those who (rightly) complain about FoxNews going soft, GBTV more than makes up for it in the excellent and fearless coverage that it provides of current issues.

So, I don’t know what else the critics on the Right want or expect from Glenn Beck. Please name any other individual who is currently working as hard as he is to fight Progressivism and to support the restoration of Constitutional government.

Well said.
But I don't think you understand just how powerful this site is, in shaping opinion.

And because it poses such a threat to the left, several leftists groups pay people lots of money just to lurk this site, post negative comments on this site, and try to tear down conservatives.
They develop their "talking points" for the media, against our principles, and try to find out where we are weak.
They also find out what our rebuttals are, and how to combat them.
So sometimes, it's not good to answer their false charges.
Let them fall on their own ridiculousness.

By the way, one thing that occurred to me while we were at Restoring Love was that the real story of the week was the PEOPLE who attended. Just as in DC in 2009 and 2010, anyone who observed the crowd with a fair mind could not deny that the people attending were the types of folks that anyone should want to have as neighbors and fellow countrymen.

Without exception people were friendly, courteous, polite, and caring. Even on the roads before and after, attendees were courteous. Despite the huge crowd, it was amazing how well traffic flowed when everyone took their turn and yielded to others when required. Quite an object lesson for the rest of the country if they will only pay attention.
