From what I’ve seen today, while their sales may be very high, the profit margin may not be as high. They had to bring in extra staff, are going through a lot more inventory, and at least in the one close to my office, were renting tents and such to help workers outside keep the line moving. They were also giving away drinks to people waiting in line- eating into the profit.

If nothing else, they have gotten plenty of free publicity. You are right, though, about the problems in a day like this.

Lots of good observations. But I’m sure their profits will STILL be WAY higher than normal.

Although I think that Mr. Cathy, and it sounds like most of the franchise owners are like-minded, are probably not so concerned about the profits they are making today as they are about the statement that so many Americans are making today.

And I did see the post where the OP says to donate FRIDAY’s profits (as a way to mess with the protestor’s heads). Although I’m not sure how much, if any, the kissing protestors will actually be buying.
