t helps to be an old timer to remember this Tony Martin.
Yep. And, he was married to a lovely dish and great dancer Cid Cherise. Those were the days.
My late father once told me that Martin served in his USAAF outfit for a period of time during World War II. He said Martin was a pretty good guy.

Prayers for his friends and family members. He was a very talented singer with a gorgeous voice... Very impressive even to this “young’un” (who isn’t really young anymore at 40! LOL)
RIP Tony Martin - hope you’re having some fun up in heaven with all your buds.
"A recent pic of the two."
That whole group of entertainers where just that, entertainers. They sang, danced, acted, did stand up, whatever. Their talents dwarf anything we have today. They loved the stage and their fans. They worked hard and long hours for years. I respect them for that.
He said Martin was a pretty good guy.
I heard that too. Well, he was married for years to the same good lookng woman who adored him so he must have be a pretty “good Joe.”
They look great for their age - I think it was clean living!
I’m pretty sure that’s not the Tony Martin who was in Sabbath...
You do know who it is, right? You have to admit he certainly looked the role of a “Romantic Crooner” back in the day.
Honestly, I don’t know who he is. But you’re right.
That was Dio.
Now that you’ve said that, I recognize him. Of course even then he was only about three feet tall. :)
