“common law” and “will of the people” are words used by socialists and communists, not people of the U.S. This also goes to the idea of a New World Order, not what free people want or will accept from anyone.

Well at least the slate color scheme is nicer (IMHO) than the brownshirt brown... Otherwise doesn’t seem to be much of a difference between where others have been and where these people are trying to take us.

Look those still protesting the Romney nomination are fighting yesterday’s battle.
Today’s is fighting Obama.
Tomorrow’s is something else. But getting Obama out of our Whitehouse now, is above everything else.

One of the early legal goals of the Federalist Party was to codify English Common Law as the law of the land and enforceable by the federal govt. Jeffersonian Republicans fought this idea and eventually triumphed by limiting the powers of the federal govt to those enumerated in the Constitution. An irony is that one of the most vitriolic opponents of this Federalist attempt to usurp the Common Law was the publisher of the Philadelphia Aurora, Benjamin Franklin Bache. Bache is a “hero” to one of the fascist Left’s most celebrated proponents, the late Howard Zinn. A classic demonstration of how the Left revises history and historical figures to advance their totalitarian cause.

Real sharp of them to insert some words in that quote done in a sort of calligraphy that mimics the style of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. - Make no mistake about it; this is the one world government crowd in all its ugliness.

I’ve received the chain email on this several times. A few things that stand out.
First, from a design perspective, the second one is better. It is much easier to read. The top one is difficult to read and screams 90s web design. (Dark gray, not black)
The so-called new words on the DOJ website are actually engraved on the DOJ building from 1935. The quote is not by Jenks but is non-ascribed. (at that, other than when this story came up, I can find no relationship with Jenks to this particular quote before this.) The full quote is ~The common law is derived from the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people, framed by mutual confidence and sanctioned by the light of reason.~

I can’t understand why the employees of the justce department don’t do something to force the admin to get rid of Holder. Maybe it has been so infiltrated that the new president will have to clean house in all departments.

“Funeral parlor for America” is a happy day for Eric Withholder. Hey, why hasn’t 0bama forced him to resign yet??? 0bama is complicit in Holder’s crimes and Holder must REALLY have something on 0bama!

"Common law" is indeed used by Americans, the people of the US, just look at the 7th Amendment.

I have no problem with "common law" as it is based on "Natural Law" and was some of the best part inherited from English jurisprudence. I do NOT like giving common law a new definition and scope.
The quotation, in the light of an Obama administration, allows the imposition of something the very opposite of common law, which is steeped in tradition, using the window dressing of traditional terminology.
Example:
Some pro-aborts would point out that most of the nations laws against most abortions were legislated in the mid-19th century, implying that the practice was legal before that time. Not so, the legislation had only codified what was already in place under common law.
