MacOS is an often overlooked part of why Macs are actually a better value proposition than Windows PCs for most uses.
A few other points:
- You can run the broadest selection of software of any computer: Mac, Windows and Unix/Linux programs - natively or in a VM, your choice.
- In addition to Game Center, Steam is porting a lot of old games and all new games to Mac.
- The bundled apps, like iMovie and Garage Band provide a lot of added value.
- Free development tools which enable you to target Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
- You'll spend much less time reinstalling the OS, uninstalling and reinstalling programs, fighting malware - and there's no registry to cause problems!
- You'll be able to preview almost all new Windows features ahead of time... ;-)

By FR rules, only Linux can be used now.
Gates and Ballmer contributed to the same gay marriage initiative as Bezos and Apple is run by a gay guy.

Apple sucks. This household is Mac free and gay free...Pretty much the same thing. Jobs was blown away by Windows 7 and this is why he checked out prematurely. Paul Allen and Bill Gates—alive. Jobs— gonzo

I upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion on one of my Macs, but I forgot that Mac upgrades tend to come with unintended consequences, such as certain of my

Another FReeper whose screen nick I’ve forgotten noted that people who feel and act out so passionately (and aggressively, as just above this post) about PCs or Macs mustn’t have used more than one computing platform. He was an old hand, as are I (I’ve used more half a dozen UNIX platforms, plus several other OSes), who, frankly, my dear, don’t give a damn, have no sentimental attachments to either operating systems or 70s and 80s rock groups, and is about to purchase a... HORROR! Mac laptop. But maybe not. Chill out, Apple is doing well, knows what it’s doing better than Dell and HP. (This is written on a Toshiba laptop.)

The first bullet in the article is trivial to do on PCs as well with any of a number of services like DropBox, Box, etc. I can’t remember the Microsoft version, but they have one too. So that’s a non-bullet.
I’m guessing that several of those others are similarly non-bullets.
