Doctors generally take few courses in nutrition.
If they did, they would understand more of what's going on.
They talk about a "balanced diet" not really knowing why or what.
SO!!
We, as humans, as animals, have blood. Our blood is red when oxygenated.
It is red because of Hemoglobin, a carbon based chemical ring with an iron atom in the middle.
Plans are not animals, well, they are plants, and they are green, not red.
They are green because there is a carbon based chemical ring in their leaves that does the photosynthesis thing.
That carbon based ring IS ALMOST EXACTLY like the hemoglobin in humans, but with one very, very important difference.
The atom in the center is not iron. It is magnesium.
Part of the circle/cycle of life.
Beautiful, eh?
Hemoglobin:
Chlorophyll:
that’s really cool- thanks
So plants have the magnesium we need?
Is there any plants or other foods we could eat that you know of that are rich in Magnesium?
