Anything to keep the spotlight off the key culprit: The PC atmosphere for homo agenda promotion carefully constructed by former PSU President Graham Spanier to intimidate even a high profile football coach like Joe Paterno into cowardly silence.
Give the pink mafia another decade or so and their perversions, even toward young boys, won't even be a crime anymore.

Yes, Penn State is currently on a 160 or so losing streak right now.

But lets say Sandusky beat his wife, and Paterno got wind of it. Is Paterno supposed to publicize this and advise the NCAA about it? Apples/Oranges.
Mrs. Sandusky probably would not have been enrolled in a PSU sanctioned camp. Plus I assmume Mrs. Sandusky was of legal age.

Most wins of any big college coach. That's why JoePa refused to retire: he was determined to beat Bobby in career wins.

Everyone above Paterno in the PSU org structure, up to and including Graham Spanier, need to be imprisoned for life. Clearly not in the scope of NCAA authoority.
I hope the criminal courts do get involved.

That's why JoePa refused to retire: he was determined to beat Bobby in career wins. He was also afraid of what his predecessor would find out.

Paterno had clear responsibility which he failed to fulfil, but he is not the monster that some are trying to make him out to be.I think you nailed it exactly. There is essentially a lynch mob mentality right now in this case. He clearly mishandled, but the extent is being bent way out of proportion. I wish the NCAA had waited for more info than just the Freeh report....although for the current players, this decision now actually helps them since they are released to play elsewhere without any penalties. Although, it is still late in anticipation of this season, any ,later and they would have definitely wasted a year of eligibility.

Penn states biggest enemies now are over-aggressive alumni and donors. the Paterno family is not being of any help either.

I will admit when I posted that, I hadn’t reade the full article and was only going by the summary. It makes more sense. I generally don’t trust the NCAA, and honestly don’t view them as having any general integrity. Upon further investigation, I found the students who do leave will be losing their scholarships. They will either lose the scholarship and have to pay as a walk-on at their new school or, if the new school gives them a scholarship, it will come from a scholarship from another student. So maybe the NCAA should have taken some extra money to cover that, because it still seems to me that the players who had nothing to do with this are getting screwed.

I guess everyone except JoePa is entitled to due process Nonsense. Paterno is dead. Due process protects people, not legacies. Paterno's legacy has no rights. If it was important to him he should have acted to protect it while he was alive.

It will be earmarked for just such purposes and the school cannot have any ties to any org. that benefits from the money.
