Same thing happened in Luby's cafe in Texas. The only person with a handgun left it in her car because the sign told her to. Her parents were killed. This Aurora incident is not a case of needing more gun control, it is a case of needing less. One person with a CCW could have stopped this tragedy in Aurora. There is no real argument here. It's an obvious fact. Theater goers were disarmed by liberal gun control policies and now 12 people are dead. Thank God his gun jammed or it would have been much worse. Next time maybe folks won't be so lucky.

Two thumbs down for Roger Ebert.

Boycott Cinemark theaters until or unless they change their gun prohibition policy.

If this theater had just posted a big enough sign, maybe Holmes would have seen it and none of this would have happened.

Right - those “Free Zones” sure do stop them, don’t they? More signs, that’s what Liberal see as a means to stop criminals.

and more restrictions on law abiding citizens. No law could have stopped this. period. Laws don’t stop people like this, they enable them.

You know, that sign in a 4X5 inch format sticker would be just the thing to place on gun-ban signs to get the futility message across. In fact, using a Label-Pro kind of program a body could download, print and stick these powerful little counter-prop messages.
Just a thought.

I see that I’ll have to carry my guns going to the theatre to see this cinematic “masterpiece”. What kind of arsenal would you suggest I take with me?

a highly accurate high cap 9 mm with the longest barrel that you can easily conceal to facillitate head/femur shots at up to 30 yards. Make sure it has front and rear tritium night sites. a CT laser may be handy too but it may draw his fire to you. God be with us.

that picture both provides much needed comic relief and much needed political insight.

In case you're curious, here's how it works in Colorado:
if a concealed carrier chooses to ignore a firearms prohibition sign, and
if he's asked to leave, and
if he refuses, and
if the owner or manager calls the police, he can be issued a citation for trespassing. Such a citation usually merits a $25 fine for a first offense. Anti-Second Amendment bigotry signs don't carry the force of law in Colorado.
That said, I'd be very surprised to learn very many concealed carriers ignore those signs: we're not only law-abiding, but uncommonly polite. I have to admit I've never seen one one of those nasty signs, living as I do near Colorado Springs. Denver and Boulder want to be, respectively, the San Francisco and Berkeley of the Rocky Mountains; the rest of Colorado remains solidly American. I've been told local movie theaters put up criminal appeasement signs, but haven't gone to the movies in at least fifteen years: too much mindless violence masquerading as "entertainment" and one-gag movies trying to pass themselves off as "comedy."
