Any Dallas area FReepers want to FReep Cinemark Sunday afternoon? Their policy makes their theaters unsafe.
How about 1PM Sunday at their HQ?
Corporate Office: Cinemark USA, Inc. 3900 Dallas Parkway, Suite 500 Plano, TX 75093-7865
Anyone up for this?
The reports I saw specified that he taped over the latch to prevent it from engaging.
About 2 miles, give or take.
Which Cinemark in Dallas posts the proper 30.06 signage? The only one I go to is the Cinemark 17, which has the little “Gun-Busters” sign on the window, which as you should know doesn’t apply to CHL holders.
I do not know. I’m going out in the morning and check a couple of their theaters.
If that’s the case, we have no problem in Texas. The CEOs statement today is meaningless here.
"though i suppose you paultardz would not know who mark levin is".
In my nearly twelve years of active posting on FR, I have made dozens of posts and thousands of comments.
And, FYI, I happen to be a big fan and reader of Mark Levin.
(BTW, if you hope to be taken seriously, grow up and learn where the shift key is on your keyboard. Your typing is representative of the immaturity of your so-called "thought" processses.)
Why don’t you focus on the real issue: did the theater’s popcorn contain trans-fat?
I have no idea and no interest in their popcorn. They did put their patrons at increased risk of harm by their policy. Gun free zones are less safe than places that welcome armed patrons. That is an issue.
as does anyone that reads levin
(pssst - look in the spanish funk & wagnells for si)
maybe year number 13 will be your year
I rest my case...
“You may think gun free zones are as safe as places where people are free to carry. Thats your opinion. It is your right to hold that opinion. Cinemark and Bloomberg agree with you. Many of us dont.”
Well said! I wouldn’t have been as polite as you!
” you are the justification for homeland security to have the right on watch lists
i hope napolitano is watching you”
With comments like that we can easily determine who the real statist is on this thread.
APARENTLY I WAS MISTAKEN ABOUT CINEMARK. I WENT TO THEIR COMPLEX ON THE TOLEWAY, NEXT TO THEIR HQ BUILDING, THIS MORNING AND THERE ARE NO 30.06 SIGNS OR ANY OTHER ANTI-SELF DEFENSE SIGNS ON THEIR ENTRANCES.
WHATEVER THEY CLAIM IS THEIR CORPORATE POLICY, IT APPEARS THEY DO NOTHING TO ENFORCE SUCH A RECLESS POLICY. AT LEAST THEY SEEM TO BE CARRY FRIENDLY AT THEIR COMPLEX NEXT TO THEIR HQ BUILDING.
MY BAD!!! I SHOULD HAVE DRIVEN UP THERE BEFORE BELIEVING POSTINGS ABOUT THEM.
Somehow, I am not amazed at your news. I have encountered very few establishments that exhibit the "We don't want your business!" 30.06 signs. The notable exceptions are hospitals and banks -- both of which usually have armed security troops on duty.
You’re too kind. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for that info.
Thanks!
I’m very familiar with the tactics of the Left in general and rather intimately with respect to civil arms in particular. In this case I don’t think a protest of Cinemark would provide a net positive political result.
There are times to strike and times to hold. In my opinion at this time we are best served by striking against the visible idiocy and politicization of the tragedy by the Left, than at the corporate owner of the venue where the tragedy occurred.
Following SUSSA’s excellent example, I want to admit that I worked from erroneous information (that Cinemark has a corporate “no guns” policy), and (especially in my #48) went WAY ‘over the top’ in my comments.
I retract and apologize for my mischaracterization of Cinemark and its policies.
Now, I will do a search to find the source of the misinformation re Cinemark. (I’m certain I read it online — possibly at FR...)
