Could this not be true, historically, for any date?
Obama will keep his mouth shut?
Also on July 20, 1969, Teddy Kennedy was engaged in the full-fledged coverup of the negligent homicide of Mary Jo Kopechne.
Seriously.....July 20, 1969 is THE date for me. Neil Armstrong, closely followed by Buzz Aldrin. Man.....men.....Americans.....walking on the moon. Incredible accomplishment. I’ll never, ever forget it.
Too bad so many have.
Funny you should ask...
For those who think Obama might be the beast, as mentioned in Rev 13, he begins his forty-second month of authority tomorrow.
Rev 13:5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.
20 July 1974 - Turkey invades Cyprus
Bruce Lee will lay siege to Ft Marcy Park.
July 20, the day after the fourth anniversary of my 29th birthday . . .duh duh duhhhhhhhhh!
July 20 is the only day ever that my wife was born.
It is also the day my good friend is coming to visit, around 2 p.m.
July 20, 2012-—
Yes God, surprise us with one of your really humorous touches...like vaporizing DC...or some other really great event...
Compare to Rev 13:5...
>July 20, 1973-—Bruce Lee dies at age 32.<
.
Now THAT is significant.
Well, Jewish holidays and events always begin at sundown the night before. Tonight starts the Three Weeks, the last day of which is the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av (Tisha b’Av). Tisha b’Av is historically a day of calamitous events. So, July 20 is the first day (this year, we’re on a lunar calendar, not a regular calendar) of the start of the Three Weeks. I wonder if this has anything to do with your list of bad events...
I borrowed this from aish.com, a Torah website, and redstate.com:
WHAT HAPPENED ON THE NINTH OF AV?
On Tisha B’Av, five national calamities occurred:
During the time of Moses, Jews in the desert accepted the slanderous report of the 10 Spies, and the decree was issued forbidding them from entering the Land of Israel. (1312 BCE)
The First Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians, led by Nebuchadnezzar. 100,000 Jews were slaughtered and millions more exiled. (586 BCE)
The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans, led by Titus. Some two million Jews died, and another one million were exiled. (70 CE)
The Bar Kochba revolt was crushed by Roman Emperor Hadrian. The city of Betar — the Jews’ last stand against the Romans — was captured and liquidated. Over 100,000 Jews were slaughtered. (135 CE)
The Temple area and its surroundings were plowed under by the Roman general Turnus Rufus. Jerusalem was rebuilt as a pagan city — renamed Aelia Capitolina — and access was forbidden to Jews.
Other grave misfortunes throughout Jewish history occurred on the Ninth of Av, including:
The Spanish Inquisition culminated with the expulsion of Jews from Spain on Tisha B’Av in 1492.
World War One broke out on the eve of Tisha B’Av in 1914 when Germany declared war on Russia. German resentment from the war set the stage for the Holocaust.
On the eve of Tisha B’Av 1942, the mass deportation began of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka.
In 2004, Barack Obama Gave the Keynote speech at the Democratic Convention on Tisha Bav and was crowned the heir apparent of the Democratic Party. He just might prove to be the most anti-Israel President ever.
The Disengagement from Gaza began on the 10th of Av 2005, leading to years of rocket bombardment from Hamas
On the 17th of Tammuz in 2009 (the day the walls of Jerusalem were breached leading to the destruction of the Temple) US President Barack Obama called on Israel to give up its claims to the most holy part of the City.
The Week of Tisha Bav in 2009 President Obama sent four representatives to Israel, pressuring her to stop settlement construction, and not to attack a country dedicated to destroy her before it becomes a nuclear power.
It’s my birthday :)
Research what has happened throughout history on April 19.
Ping for just in case.
Strange that you should ask...
