Slow Joe was always the dumbest man in the senate, and he had stiff competition.
OK. I apologize. Biden just has to open his mouth and steam comes out of my ears.
You should have heard what I had to say to my Pastor when he named Biden as a “great Catholic American who has made a difference in our nation” in his 4th of July letter to the parish. Fr. Tom, who is very interested in OUR Stewardship, was shocked when I pointed out that dear ol’ Joe gave an average of $379 per YEAR to charity of all sorts over 10 years. He gave NOTHING to any Catholic church last year. He did give $500 to his Diocese, but NOTHING else. He wife gave to her Presbyterian Church, but not a lot. Most of their donations were in the form of used clothes.
Then I hit him with how many times ol’ Joe has supported (publicly) Roe v. Wade. Scandal!
Father mumbled something about “I was trying to be evenhanded”, because he had also mentioned John Roberts and JFK in his tribute. I just rolled my eyes.
I asked him “Why not Mary Ann Glendon?” and he was quick to say, “I wish I’d thought of her.”
My husband came up behind me and said, jokingly, “If you think it is hard being her Pastor, try being her husband!” Everybody laughed, but Father Tom will be getting a letter from me about every 2 weeks on Founding Fathers and Catholics who SHOULD be honored.
I had someone insist yesterday, that he did not suggest partitioning Iraq.
Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt.
Unreal.
Always something going on in Changeville. A++
A slight distinction, yes. Frequent Flyers come in both varieties. We call them EMS “specials”.
Ooops. A++
A+++ Outstanding! We will all be flocking to vets when we can’t find a doctor.
Good for you AFTR!
I just have to brag on the new assistant pastor we just got. OMGosh.....he mentioned abortion and how we are NOT good Catholics if we are not ardently opposed to it. Said “we the faithful” have to evangelize the other Catholics who have fallen. I sat right up and listened to every single word he said. I was so impressed. God bless him. Fr. Brian Carpenter. A hero. I looked for him after mass, but he was out front and I was parked out back. I am so excited to go to mass now.
and btw ANY pastor who holds up an abortion politician as a good example is diluting his faith....when he gets to Heaven he will hear the words “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” Matt7:23 A pastor has a duty to not lead us astray. Good for you to evangelize your own pastor.
A+++ With Slow Joe as a vaudevillian act? LOL Should get some amusing footage out of both.

We have a new assistant Pastor too. He is from Colombia and was formerly a Military Policeman and was nearly killed. He was just ordained and speaks pretty good English. He’s been here about 4-5 years, so he came to milwuakee under Dolan. We have had a lot of good seminarians that were attracted to the priesthood by Cardinal Dolan when he was our Archbishop.
I haven’t heard a homily from him yet, but I’m hoping for good things. He’s excellent one on one. And handsome. Handsome always helps! He looks like he just stepped out of “The Greater Glory”. The interesting thing is that he has a Middle Eastern first name — Fr. Yamid Blanco — the Y is pronounced like J. Jah-meed’. I’ll have to hear the story about that. Maybe his mother was Lebanese.
When he got out of the military (after his near death experience) he was going to study law, but accepted a colleague’s invitation to apply to the Seminary in Milwaukee because of Abp. Dolan. He has 5 cousins who are priests. God Bless the Blanco family.
It sounds like He already has!
My husband would have given you a standing ovation for that response to your pastor in re Biden! Bravo to you.
THAT is fantastic, i am so happy for you guys. it’s about time some fresh air blew into Catholic churches in upstate NY and blew out the heretical stink!
I speak Spanish and have spent time in Colombia. I also googled the name Yamid and even though it sounds middle eastern i could find nothing that indicated arabic derivation for it, and the only people named Yamid that it turned up on google were FROM COLOMBIA, so it could be that the name has some significance to the country? Several Colombian baseball players are named Yamid apparently.
Waiting for the 3D imax show. You may roll your eyes at space, but you’ll like this.
If you brought your dogs they have a free air conditioned kennel space for them while you visit.
