Okay, Folks, on a recent thread about the demise of NBC News, the following observation was made:
Google has gone far left. People are looking to leave Google, but the only real competition in a search engine is Bing, owned by MS. I have seen and made several comments about how Id like to leave Google, but why hop to MS, of MSNBC?
Well, that got me thinking: what alternative search engines are out there?
The link I found provides a neat, but HUGE, rollup of various search engines, search sites and alternatives to the Leftist monoliths of the Web.
Personally, I rid myself of Google Chrome as my browser, and I now use Comodo Dragon, which I'm happy to say I'm pleased with its security features. I have also avoided Google as a search engine, and have been using Yahoo as both my email provider and my search engine.
This thread proves all search engines are either big and leftist or so small as to be worthless.
The fact nobody could point to a single quality search engine of value to us conservatives, proves the point there is no search engine for conservatives.
I’d agree with you, “currently”.
I could envision one of two things happening:
1. Some enterprising soul will develop a quality search engine that will go viral among conservatives; or
2. Some entrepreneur will assimilate an existing search engine and offer its use for conservative support.
Whether or not either happens, well...
