I have Carbonite and my computer died. I bought a new computer about 3 weeks later and tried to put everything on my new computer....I restored maybe a month later and all my pictures are gone. I called and they only back up for 30 days !!!!!!What a joke......I hope they lose a lot of business.

I use an external drive for my pictures and then I burn them all to disc every couple of months.

How odd.
My husbands computer crashed, even smoked a little.
He had everything that what was on his desk top restored, nothing was missing.
Are there different levels of backup?
Now I am curious, to find out.

Your content may still be okay providing you still have the old computer. Even faulty disks can be recovered.

What a rip off! There should be a backup as long as your subscription is paid up.

I take it Carbonite used to be a Rush Sponsor? Sure can't tell by the brainiacs posting stuff these days.
No, I don't keep track of Rush's sponsors... But my Ouija Board came back from the cleaners!

My subscription was due to expire when they dumped Rush and with their snotty comments I dropped them. Their stock price is about 60% below their 52 week high now. They wanted to go back with EIB, but Rush would not allow it. I now have CrashPlan for less charge.

I too am having all kinds of trouble with Carbonite. I lost my computer a month ago and when I got my new one I tried to get my files from them. It's been a month now and still have not got a thing. I even told them to put my pictures and my documents on a disc or chip and send them to me by slow mail as cant seem to transfer anything on line. They bocked at that. I wrote Rush to cancel them and told him my story but I didn't know they dropped him because of that college slut remark. I am going to try one more time this week and if I don't get any satisfaction, I guess I will just take the loss and cancel my account with them, and tell everyone on my contact list not to bother with them. Hate to lose my pictues but according to you, maybe I already have.
