Anyone with his talent that had to endure opening for the Monkess and getting booed off the stage...paid his dues.

That's why the Floyd Rose tremolo bridge was invented.
I have a licensed version on my Peavey guitar.

“By the way...that’s not Little Richard in post 1.
I didn’t think so either. Do you know who he is? “
Look again, very carefully.
IT’S LITTLE RICHARD!
Jeez...

Look again, very carefully. ITS LITTLE RICHARD! I can recall when Little Richard was a Top 40 artist, can you? I think I know him when I see him. That ain't him.

Hey Wolf, here's a pic of Little Richard from sometime in the 50's:
Compare that pic with the one at post 1 and see that the face isn't the same. I actually think the guy in that pic is from one of the other early bands that Jimi played with. Might be Curtis Knight (center):
Here's one of Jimi onstage with Little Richard (Jimi at left):

I didn't think so either. Do you know who he is? The singer is the picture is Wilson Pickett.

That’s true. Those old setups were a harsh mistress.
To: Windflier
Sorry Windflier, you are incorrect, it's not Little Richard, it's Wilson Pickett

I know I didn't link that correctly but check out the picture on Wilson's Wiki bio... Kinda looks like Eddie Murphy doesn't he. Also Jimi played in Wilson's band on the chitlin circuit for a while. Plus I've seen that picture of the two of them together before... Game, Set, Match :)

Jim Morrison (The Doors) was was absolute magic on stage. Light My Fire J. Morrison used to hang out at the Whiskey to watch V. Morrison and his stage presence.
V. was notorious for stage fright, I have to think that J. was taking lessons not related to performance, but more so to musicality.

Sorry Windflier, you are incorrect, it's not Little Richard, it's Wilson Pickett Yeah, I see that now, but you've got me mixed up with the other guy on the thread. I'm the one who said the picture at post 1 wasn't Little Richard.
I honestly didn't know who it was.
