I have been enjoying my brewing hobby. It just takes time letting the brews age properly and sometimes that is hard to do especially when I crack open the very last bottle and find it is so good and no more are left! Just Drats!

I love brewing but really hate cleaning and filling bottles so I recently invested in a couple of recycled soda fountain kegs. They’re just right for a 5 gallon batch and you can clean and sanitize a keg just about as fast as 6 12-ounce bottles. You do need some sort of pressurization system (I use a CO2 tank) and it’s a bit harder to stick it in the fridge, but it’s great to have. As long as you keep pressure on the tank the beer will last a loooong time so you don’t have to drink the entire batch in one weekend.

Ha! I know exactly what you`re saying.. the last beer is gone and time to brew more!

I`ve been buying ales from Trader Joes in the decorative bottles with the swing-top caps.. they`ll make for some good fill bottles.
