Quix’s Lutheresqe theses remind me of another Scandinavian square-head, left wing tool Garrison Keillor.
Swedish stork (or maybe he’s a Norsky—I don’t care/same thing) Keillor spends a great number of pages in the book `Lake Wobegon,’ in an article presumably dropped off at the local newspaper by a disgruntled younger version of himself, whining and moaning about growing up unappreciated, stifled and embarrassed by his family, friends and fellow townspeople.
Q should try to sell it to one of the networks. They love this kind of self-pitying, garment-rending, hair-shirt bull-shite. (Or mebbe Public Radio, “Lake WoeIsMe, The Story of Q: I Was Abused By Rightwing Nazis”).
Good post.
That being said, go the the library and pick up a copy of his Lake Wobegon Days. His series of footnotes "95 Theses" completely describes the Midwestern self-pitying mindset -- or is that what you meant all along and I was just too stupid to pick up on it?
Cheers!
