My Motorcycle was parked in the sun. I got on to rev it up and BURNED my hand on a bit of chrome on the handgrip. I kid you not. I am not making this up. IT IS HOT OUT THERE!

I totally believe you! I have “branded” myself many times with my seat belt buckle in the summer heat! Ouch!
