Tom Cruise’s ‘33’ problem: He’s split with all 3 of his wives when they hit that age

For Tom Cruise, 33 is an unlucky number when it comes to love.

All three of Tom Cruise’s ill-fated marriages have come to an end when his wives were 33, which just happens to be a significant number for the actor’s Church of Scientology.

The original membership organization for the controversial religious group, the Hubbard Association of Scientologists, was founded in Phoenix, Arizona, which lies on the 33rd parallel, Perez Hilton reports.

The number is also the known as the “Master Teacher,” which represents altruism and raising mankind’s positive energy in numerology, according to Seven Life Path.

The characteristics of the “Master Teacher” closely resemble the philosophy behind Scientology, which seeks “to enable Man to improve his lot through understanding,” according to the religion’s official website.

Cruise, who joined the religious group in the 1980s, tied the knot with actress Mimi Rogers when she was 31 in May 1987. The two split just a few years later.

Cruise then wed Nicole Kidman when she was 23 in 1990. The actor filed for divorce in 2001 just two months after the pair renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary.

Katie Holmes announced that she was filing for divorce from the star Friday due to “irreconcilable differences.” The couple have been married for five years.

In each failed marriage, the wives were 33 when the breakups were announced. The first two splits weren’t finalized until the wives were 34.

The bombshell breakup with Holmes is the first time the “Top Gun” star isn’t the one filing the divorce papers.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star reportedly decided to split with Cruise because she was concerned that the actor would “drag” their 6-year-old daughter Suri farther in to the religion as she gets older, according to TMZ.

A rep for Cruise said the actor is devastated by news of the split.

The couple’s divorce, when finalized, will not be recognized by Scientology.

Thanks much for filling me in, on posts 113 and 116. Wow! Very weird stuff. No wonder Hellywood celebrity freaks love Scientology or other new age cults. It gives some warped sense of meaning to their empty, pathetic lives. It's why I don't go to movies or watch TV anymore. What a waste, plus I don't want be a party to somehow supporting these Hellywood weirdos, anti-Christian, anti-American freaks.

Funny thing that. It didn’t seem so weird when I was actually in it.

all dogs go to heaven all girls grow up at 33 it seems. Foe me it was earlier, but maybe it just took these women longer to figure out the best divorce angle with such a powerful, dominant controller.

I remember they tried to change her name to Kate as well. Clearly that did not fly.

And what do you mean Tom wanted Suri to sign a billion year contract? With who, and for doing what?

With Scientology's Mr Big, David Miscavige

People in picture may appear larger than actual size.

So?

Are you “on the inside”?

You say this as if you have intimate knowledge.

Either Mr. Big is about 4 feet tall, or Cruise is standing on a box.

It's a real concern. Ex Scientology kids speak out

I don’t really know what that means. The founder was divorced several times.

The Church will declare Katie a PTS - a potential trouble source. Cruise can’t have contact with her. He has to disconnect from her.

Suri will be grilled about her mother. Sec checked

Stuff revealed "in session" is theoretically immune from ethics actions and disclosure. Policy is to treat it with the same level of confidentiality as the Catholic Church does the Sacrament of Confession.

Only while you are officially "in good standing". If you leave (or are expelled from) Scientology, then every bad thing you have ever revealed in session can and will be used to bad-mouth you to your Scientology associates, in an effort to get them to disconnect from you. The threat of it will also be used to keep you silent when you leave.

Mark Rathbun (ex head of Scientology's "Inspector General Network" reveals that black-mailable info was culled from Tom Cruise's auditing session info. Another commentator further down-thread at the link tells about having to sign confessions about stuff revealed.

The funny thing about the interview is that Bruce said that he knew of a specific well known person that had defected and he saw an order to go through the auditing files for all the things that could discredit the person...but then later he says he can’t imagine anyone leaking information on Nicole.

Sure they would. They had her file. They would have gone through it..they blackmailed her into submission.

Katie isn’t going as quietly. Perhaps there isn’t much in her auditing file.

Or perhaps there is but she has the upper hand given what she knows about Tom and the fact that her dad is a lawyer.

If they can’t blackmail her into keeping her mouth shut they will pay her off - in cash and with Suri.

The latest defections are causing a PR disaster for the Leader.

“Only while you are officially “in good standing””

I don’t believe that either.

I think it can be used against you at any time to suit the purpose of the Leader.

Most people on this thread don’t realize that this is about more than just a Celebrity Divorce.

Slave labor. Human Abuse....etc....
