CNN(as usual)will be ignored. FoxNews will be the laughing stock for it’s part in initially calling it wrong. Not sure if that misinterpretation was on the part of the reporter(Shannon Bream)on the steps of the SC, if so she will be looked at like the gal who read Bush v. Gore all wrong.

Stupid media, they never learn...

I was reading the scotusblog just as the Fox News anchors were, word for word. Yet their initial announcement that it was unconstitutional came perhaps 30 seconds before the blog raised the first flag that there might be more to it. So Fox News really jumped the gun to call it, just as they’ve done in the past and it always gets them into trouble.

What would it hurt if they’d said “This could be complicated, we’re going to make sure we understand what’s in the ruling before we bring you the result”. It’s not like anyone is sitting there with a stopwatch anyhow.

Is there not a silver lining in all of this? As Justice Roberts so elloquently stated, “The individual mandate is a tax.” This is something Obama and his legion of lawyers argued against from the very beginning...I suspect for good reason. If the court had ruled that Obamacare was constitutional as something other than a tax...then there would have been no way out of this, except by repeal with a republican president. While I am not a fan of the current condition of the supreme court, I suspect I have no other option than to look on the bright side of things....while I prep for our impending doom. I digress...nevertheless, if the supreme court has ruled that it is a tax, and that Obamacare falls within the governements power to tax, has the supreme court not masterfully left an out for the American people. Are taxes, under the right conditions, repealed and or done away with? I don’t know...someone more educated on the subject than I educate me. Certanily, this is not the same country I fought for.
