Today the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Federal Government can tax citizens because they exist, not because they earn income, but because they exist. There are no limits on the amount we can be taxed to exist.
We are all now officially slaves owned by and for the U.S. Federal Government.
What will happen to Medicare after it is gutted?
When they tax income they take part of the income. When they tax property they either get money or take all or part of the property. If they tax me for existing and I don’t have income or property, do they take part of me? Well good bye kidney or whatever. How many people will not have anything to pay? Guess who will make up the difference. All we have here is Medicare extended to everyone from day one. And once a program like this starts it grows and grows. OTOH, I’m already paying for those who can’t so what’s gonna change?

The law was not written or constructed with the mandate as a tax. If the mandate is a tax then the law should have to be rewritten and sent back through the process. Written as a mandate the law is now invalid. Try to get it through as a tax.
If not, then slaves have risen up throughout history. It might be time for civil disobedience and whatever else needed to remove the entire population of politicians from their perches. Enough of this crap. If representatives no longer represent us then let them be removed.
Next rule should be a tax on people based on their behavior, the behavior being that each person must purchase weapons suitable for defense of their community and sufficient ammunition to sustain them in a prolonged fight.
The tax would be imposed on all who refuse to openly carry those weapons when they are on public property.
Under the court ruling, this is not a use of the commerce clause, but merely a tax by the government, just like the Obamacare mandate.
The powers that be have decreed that all human behavior is subject to the power of the government to direct the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the homes we buy, the products we consume.
The founding fathers would be sick today, that the natural rights of man may be given by God as a condition of being human, but the US Government can take away what God has given us, thus putting themselves above God.
I pray for our nation, but the tip[ping point has now been passed.
Not enough people believe in the founder’s principles.

That’s right - Government can dictate whatever it wants.
Dictatorship is constitutional... so long as it’s through the tax code.
They haven’t said yet whether the States can opt out of this. They are going to collect on this mandate via tax returns. Everyone needs to, like I do, set up their W-4’s so that you either get no refund or have to pay a little. It’s time to stand up and revolt. This cannot stand and don’t count on any help from Congress either.
That is the way I am seeing it. The law as written is void as written with a mandate. Taxes have to be specifically legislated and voted on as taxes; this bill was not legislated as a tax.
My state had better opt out and refuse any participation.
Wrong! This was about the Constitution, not politics. An election can change the healthcare law. There is no fixing the damage done to the constitution. You now live in a Federal Dictatorship. Your children are now slaves to the Federal Government.

It is complicated and the media are trying to win the court of opinion before the muddy water clears. The mandate according to Roberts is unconstitutional and constitutional. Hence the first thought of victory for us. What has happened is the court said they HHS cannot take away federal funds for those individual states that do not participate in ACA. What present vs future funds means is unclear. I really don’t think it’s a total win for Obama. First of all he never wanted to define it as a tax. It is now the biggest tax in American history!!! Wait till later this afternoon the dust will settle Obama will play to his dumb base. Hopefully the GOP is wiser and will come out after Obama speaks to clear the air
Slaves to the US Fed. Gov’t? Once the Constitutuion is gone (which it is) and the economic system collapses (on its way and probably can be imploded at will at any time) then global governance is the next step. The US had to be taken down to achieve that goal and many people from both sides of the aisle have done their part.
If the vote needed to be 6-3 to pass this thing, it would have been 6-3. If the vote needed to be 7-2, the vote would have been 7-2. The people running both parties are bought and paid for, do you really think the Supremes don’t get their orders when push really comes to shove? Sold out and souled out. They’re decloaking. I’m now not just of the opinion but totally convinced that Obama and his crew are going to do anything and perhaps everything to generate chaos this summer and fall. If you get enough people angry in a society. And I mean angry about not just one thing but many things it doesn’t take much to set off a riot or perhaps a revolution.
And because of the way Obama and his people think, that sort of Chaos and strife is perfect. It’s perfect to shove through legislation that would never ever be considered in times of peace and calm.
And perhaps, just perhaps, the next election will never occur because of that legislation or the chaos and Martial Law will be declared.
Now I hope I’m wrong but only time and events will tell us what will be. But at this point in time that is what I see developing.
