A wayward black bears amazing journey back and forth across Massachusetts was all about his quest for love, said wildlife experts, who tell suburban Bay Staters theyd better get used to backyard bruins ... because more will be coming.
Hes just a guy trying to make his way in the world, Environmental Police spokesman Reginald Zimmerman said about the fine young specimen of Ursus americanus that was spotted up a tree in Brooklines tony Chestnut Hill yesterday, after his travels took him all the way to Provincetown, out to the Worcester County woods, and now even deeper into the wilds of western Massachusetts.
We want to make sure hes in an area where its suitable for bears, Zimmerman said, after the bear was hit with a tranquilizer dart and shipped west ... again.
Suburban Boston isnt out of the woods yet. The 180-pound, hirsute Romeo thought to be about 21⁄2 years old, may well try to return to the area again before mating season ends late summer.

You can’t blame a guy.:)
Can't imagine why he didn't find love in Provincetown.
It is an assumption that the young male bear is searching for a mate. If he is, I suspect he is as queer as a three-dollar bill. After all, he swam across the Cape Cod Canal and made a bear line for Provincetown—the Queen (ah-ooo-gah) City of Massachusetts.
He heard that’s where the bears were.
Looking for bambi to come out in favor of Man-Bear Love in 5, 4, 3, 2...
LOL... I just had a boo hoo eMail from a friend wanting to know how to get rid of the bear that destroyed their bird feeder and spread their garbage across the neighborhood this morning. This woman is a rabid tree hugger and animal rights activist but I think she wants this cute little bruin arrested and rehabilitated...
Works every time.
Call the police or DNR when she gets him. When there are as many bear as deer she'll have a real problem.
