Pelosi sees Roberts helping uphold U.S. healthcare law
Pelosi predicts a 6-3 uphold of Obamacare.
Pelosi Predicts Scalia, Alito, Thomas or Roberts Will Side With Administration on Obamacare
Will Pelosi be shown to be a raving lunatic, or a raving lunatic who was wrong about her prediction regarding this Obamacare ruling today?
The reliability of Pelosi is such....that I’d just as soon listen to some Bulgarian beet farmer and trust his impression, over hers.
True. But if she’s right, I give her props for that; if she is wrong, I intend to parade it in her face until her botox crumbles.
It doesn’t matter how the court rules. Nancy was wrong. Dead wrong. If the court doesn’t destroy the entire bill THEY are wrong also.
The bill is Unconstitutional and any American knows it.
Oh Sure !! There are people out there calling themselves Americans who are seeking a life of free goodies supplied by Pelosi type, vote whores who want Obamacare, but they aren’t the ones paying for it.
While I agree with you, I want to see if Pelosi adds to her long list of missed predictions, or if she reverses course for a change.
Pelosi has every right to believe as she does.
If the Court upholds PPACA, it will be in character with a long line of anti constitutional precedent going back to 1937. The courts run, to a great degree, on precedent. The Court’s view of the Constitution is different from ours.
The Court sees the Constitution as Torah, with the sum of its decisions as Talmud and Mishnah. Or, if you prefer, the Constitution as Gospel and its decisions as Acts + Epistles + Holy Tradition.
Either way, the Court only rules out powers of the People and the States, never the Federal government and especially not the entirely unconstitutional and illegitimate Fourth Branch.
PPCA creates the largest and most powerful Fourth Branch entity in history - and since parts of it are (allegedly) not subject to repeal or modification by future Congresses, you might almost call the IPAB and other like structures a Fifth Branch.
It will be easy for the Court to uphold PPACA, given everything which has gone before, and very hard to overturn it.
Predictions from Nazi Pelosi?
A Boulder, Colorado spirit dancer with a Ouija board could do a better job.
I woke up two hours early because I couldn’t sleep due to worry that Pelosi’s prediction might be true.
If the law is upheld it will be a huge win and will impact the election.
No she doesn’t. She took an oath to uphold the Constitution.
Pelosi seems to recite secondary talking points from dem spin meisters that have been rejected. She doesn’t seem to be able to remember the main ones that Harry Reid or Jay Carney spews, what she remembers are the ones that they probably decided would be stupid to repeat.
I don’t know any explanation for why she does this except that she’s “tarded”.
I suspect she`s a racing lunatic who has signaled she`s been tipped off by 0bama that 0bamacare has been upheld by a 6-3 vote.
Reports surfaced Monday that Roberts will read the court`s opinion. One FReeper on another thread expressed concerns the law and mandate will both be upheld, and Roberts will promulgate what the court opines in narrow, limited terms (a little bone tossed at those who still prize freedom) what is allowed under the mandate.
And one other factor that can`t ignored: Obama has a uncanny ability to get what he wants when all the counting is done.
I had a much greater hope the whole law would be tossed... until Monday morning.
racing=raving
I cannot see Ginsberg ruling against Obamacare.
Win or lose, Botox Nan will ALWAYS be a raving lunatic.
I meant she has every right to believe the Court will uphold the law, based on leaks from Kagan.
Of course believing PPACA is constitutional violates her oath of office - that wasn’t what I meant.
Hadn`t heard confirmation of that, but it would be encouraging were that the case. I wonder how that shriveled up old hag is going to get through her entire reading...
Unfortunately, I have to agree with your post#6.
We’ll find out soon enough.
I think they are espousing confidence and repeating the "law is constitutional" meme even when they know it is not and likely will be found not to be, at least its most necessary element- the mandate.
Why? So they can defiantly, hysterically frame the decision as partisan GOP political advocacy with the effect of negating not merely the validity of the decision but the institution itself. And after prepping that battlefield, they will justify an unconstitutional workaround via executive order or federal agency regulation maneuver or some such renegade lawless. Watch. And what of congress, will they sit on their hands and continue to allow this despot to trample our Republic-- what remains of it?
I share your concern. Since up is down, down is up, right is wrong & wrong is right these days & especially with this lawless, Constitution-trampling administration, I expect SOTUS to do the wrong thing for the country (in so many ways) & uphold it all. I will be more than happy to be proven wrong.
