Much is made of ocean volume increasing as temperature increases, but won’t the earth’s crust also expand if it is heated?
Seems to me that the bucket will expand at the same rate as the water in it.
Imagine how frightened these people would be if the sea level was dropping 6’. coral reefs, harbors, their beach front property, etc. would be in peril.
Sea levels rising on US East Coast faster than anywhere else (3 times faster than global average)

So I found this article.
The concern is melting ice from land like Greenland and Antarctica adding to the sea volume. Not a concern over expansion of the same amount of water due to temp rise.
The oceans were about 20 to 30 feet higher about 7,000 years ago than they are today. Another ice age should be starting any time and when that happens watch sea level drop about 400 to 500 feet where the edge of the continental shelves are located.
It’s all part of the Global sam.....the Warmists are meeting in RIO....

What a fantastic claim! They used the plural? As in we have empirical knowledge of global temps and sea level for more than one century? No we don’t. We don’t even have empirical knowledge of our last century’s temps and we certainly don’t for our sea levels. Semi-empirical? More like more of the delusional fantasies of a dying occupation of sooth-saying.
We can’t even use our satellite date for such calculations because they keep moving the numbers around. Forget what they did with Envisat. That was just the warmup. Here’s my latest look at Jason II. How doesn’t one calculate anything when the numbers they’re using are dynamic? I’d be most interested in seeing what they used for calculating temps, and sea levels.
Actually its both. Because so much ice would have to melt to raise sea levels, they get a lot of their instant sea level rise from this concept of expansion.
I like to ask libtards how increasing Antarctica’s mean interior temperature of -70 F by a few degrees is going to cause the massive ice sheet melt off, especially at the rates required (thousands of feet in thickness) to reach the sea-level rise they predict.

Lol, no, we’re not expanding!!! We’re just getting taller!! Soon, instead of being a spheroid, the earth will assume some sort of canister shape…….. because of the GIA. :-| But, I prefer to think of it as the bottom of the oceans are getting deeper! :-) Others still, simply prefer to point and laugh at Colorado U.
