Dittoes on the Freepathon comments. I think most Religion threads do more harm than good to the community of Free Republic. I know the RM just had to post yet another “reminder” thread of what to do and what not do do. These Religion threads are way past silly and divisive; they are running off FReepers and they should be abolished. More people would appreciate it and donate more. IMHO.
I had no idea there was this kind of spam on the Catholic threads. But I’m not too surprised.
Can anyone post me a link to such a thread? I have a fast internet connection, and I’m curious. I’d like to see that kind of crap. Don’t ask me why. I’m just curious.

I was curious enough to do my own research and found the culprit responsible for the spam. Dude. Why do you do this? As you can see - you are pissing FReepers off.
I agree with the running off people. We have a few tin foil hat types who post really long posts apparently because nobody in the real world listens.
It would be nice to have posts over half a screen to be truncated and IF desired put in a “more” button to see the whole post. This way it does not destroy the screen real estate.
Likewise, Robert Drobot usually posts the weekly Traditional Mass on Sundays which are normally not peak load times.
Posters who do not wish to see Religion Forums posts, should NOT use the "everything" option on the Free Republic browse option list. Instead, they should browse by "News/Activism." When they log back in, the browse will reset to "everything" - so they must be sure to set it back to "News/Activism."
I know of no way to filter out just the Religion Forum, e.g. retain Chat and Bloggers.
