Well, Thomas Voeckler is going to win the stage. He is lone leader with 20K remaining.

Excellent day for a 40 year old! He'll probably take the Polka Dot Jersey to Paris. Excellent for Tejay, too.

I liked seeing the three leaders riding in together ...I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

It was interesting to see Froom pull Wiggins in this last stage, and really highlighted, for me, the degree to which the domestiques or secondary players on the team sacrifice glory - and speed - for the sake of the team leaders.

Wiggins is very strong but I am almost sure given the "short" comments made by BMC riders on Eurosport the BMC team is looking at Cadel and wishing they were riding for another leader.

Ol' Phil showing his colors...:

As Wiggins cues up to start the TT, Phil says "this is the greatest moment in cycling history".

Hey, I don't blame him, a very big deal for British cycling. Gotta love the enthusiasm.

Sorry about no graphics last 2 days, travel for work interfered.

I can’t think of a recent Tour where the leader stayed in yellow for so long.

he said that a British Champion was something he truly never thought he'd see. I am enjoying his enjoyment.

He had a bit of it yesterday with Cavendish's blast at the finish. It's no wonder they nicknamed him "Rocket".

I’m behind and just finished watching Stage 17. If ever there was a day and place for the devil, it was this stage. Where is he? There have been a few repeat bits (costumes) and such, but the spectators this year are real fuddy duddies, imo. I’m hoping some of the bits will show up in Colorado next month. The Pro Challenge needs more bits too.

I’m happy to see some young up and comers -Froome, Sagan, Te Jay, Nibali. Next year should be good.

As always, beautiful scenery and the Pyrames(sp?) always make for great competitive days.

Who was the black sort of fluffy man who was there to put the white jersey on Tejay? I thought the commentator said he was the US ambassador but when I looked it up it wasn’t him. He had on a t-shirt and shorts. Very tacky.

I missed the final presentation because I was also following the British Open. If I catch the rerun, I’ll keep an eye out.

What patriotspride said. Thank you for hosting the TdF and doing an excellent job with the thread. I appreciate you pinging me then not pinging me, but I didn’t see any spoilers so next year, please put me back on the ping list!

Don’t forget about the Colorado Pro American Challenge in late August!

You are gonna have to let us know what time zone you're in before the Colo start. We like to chat, but hate to spoil. Then again, if TV coverage is sketchy, it's goo to get updates.

I’m in Texas so I’m an hour ahead of Colorado. I tried to go to the Challenge in Colorado this year, but something came up and I had to scrap those plans. Hopefully next year. I just hope the fires haven’t fried everything.
