The heart of problem is not necessarily the statistics and numbers, the real problem is complete lack of understanding of Islam on part of Westerners who had not to deal with it for 13 centuries with possible exception of Spain.

Unless and until the West accepts and understands that this is a religious war, nothing will change. The enemy has no problem embracing the truth. Westerners believe admitting it makes them medieval, superstitious or racists.
