Did you miss the part where it said that Indians from India as a group have the lowest percentage on welfare of any other ethnic group? Nobody said Indians are "perfect" as you call it. They came here for the economic opportunity and as a group are succeeding as borne out by statistics. And if they are "CHEAP" labor as you claim, how do you explain their very much higher average family income compared to others? Finally if you really want to talk about "girls being aborted in India", did you see the very recent expose of Planned Parenthood who were caught on video advising pregnant mother they could abort if the fetus gender was not desirable? Or do you fit perfectly the Sanskrit definition of a fool who sees faults in others as small as sesame seeds but can't see their own faults as big as a pumpkin? If you want we can debate murders/capita, divorces/capita, abortions/capita, government debt/capita, GDP growth per year, etc between India, the country of your derision and hatred, and any country which you admire. I have lots of data from Wikipedia handy.

Okay ... For starters, Indians have been portrayed as the ‘perfect’ minority. That fiction enables those who bring in Indian workers as CHEAP replacements for US Workers, and conduits for off-shoring, particularly, though not limited to technical, fields.

This myth is akin to the one justifying the presence of Mexcian illegals because of ‘crops rotting in the field’, $50 per head lettuce, and jobs Americans can’t / won’t do.

Indians, just like Mexicans, have no problem taking full advantage of working ‘under the table, and taking full advantage of our generous welfare net.

01. Boy you have a short memory. I suggest you review some of your prior posts and the vitriol you spewed on IT and the value of logical skills, programming skills, experience, software engineers, using the proper tools, knowledgeable management, and egotistical Americans in IT.

02. How about you prove what the article is asserting. The article in the Hindustan Times is based upon ‘research’ by PEW.

PEW used telephone interviews (i.e. self-reporting)of 3,511 Asian Americans - to be precise, interviews of members of ‘the six largest Asian American country of origin subgroups-Chinese Americans, Filipino Americans, Indian Americans, Vietnamese Americans, Korean Americans and Japanese Americans’.

A mere 515 of the interviews were with self-identified Indians. That is 515 of the estimated 2,843,391 Indians in the US.

As they say ‘the devil is in the details’. The result of these interviews were applied to the Indian population as a whole solely by using algorithms filtered through the lens of PEW’s highly ‘progressive’ bias toward multi-culturism, political correctness, amnesty for illegals, open borders, jobs Americans can’t / won’t do. In other words, PEW’s article is proof of nothing.

The Indians who come over here on H1B are some of their smartest, and their degrees are generally in science or technology, rather than "women's studies" or other useless areas.

Actually there are FAR more Americans who are still single in their 40s and 50 then Indians. It a lot difficult for Americans to find a life partner. And among the new generation Indians, Jati nd varna are strictly practised anymore.

As for PEW (whatever liberal bias they may or may not have) your attempt to find holes in the study is pretty lame. 515 is a representative sample size. Its a pretty common method used in any statical study to used a sample size representative of the absolute figure. There maybe marginal variance when compared with absolute total numbers but that does necessarily invalidate the statistics itself. Its extremely difficult to poll the entire 3 million Indian population if not impossible.

And whatever filtered algorithm they may have used, my guess is they used the same standardization for all other races/ethnicities.

I am sorry you have hard time swallowing the results of this study given your prejudicial bias.
