Cataract surgery is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I was 58 when I had it done, and had worn glasses for 50 years. Now, I can pass the drivers license eye exam without glasses, AND read the fine print on packages without glasses. For long-term reading comfort, I wear glasses, but I can function without them.

If anyone is hesitating to have the surgery, hesitate no more. You will be relieved and pleased afterwards.

I wish I'd done it sooner. You might not notice until they get really bad. When you get the first eye done and the bandage comes off the change is almost unbelievable.

While I was on the table my doctor made an extra little cut and cured my astigmatism too. He said he was going to have to throw the knife away anyway, might as well get his money's worth out of it.

He is a photography nut so he understands how important my eyes are to me.
