No thoughts of romance at any time, even though the water wasn’t too cold, certainly not as cold as the Lake Superior water in September of another year when I finished a week long hike by washing up alone in a small bay that wasn’t too cold. On that canoe trip we’d all gotten so filthy and stinky that each of us just wanted to bathe and get clean.
I was just kidding. A week the Great Wild isn't’t as romantic as in the movies, at least for the ladies. When we came home, all the women wanted was a hot bath, a soft bed and 24hrs to recover from our vacation.
