Holy cow, I can’t wait....best show on TV, LOL. Shane, I miss you already!
BTW, for those interested, July 7 and 8 will be a sneak preview weekend of season 3 on AMC.
According to the link below - Autumn - no official start date is given. And that’s on BBC. I don’t know if PBS carries them concurrently with BBC or not.

She's the one who 'discovered' the Doctor from the chorus line in River Dance?
Best thing was the planet landscapes...other than that it lacked spark.
And boring characters IMO.
Two votes for Epic Fail.

“other than that it lacked spark.”
In the context of the franchise, what it really lacked was sense.
I mean...take for instance...in one of the most iconic moments of Alien, the crew of the Nostromo walks into the bridge of the derelict and finds the space jockey sitting in the pilots chair with a hole burst out of his chest...
Oh no....wait. The same director just had the space jockey die in the escape pod. How’s he get back on the bridge? Does the xenomorph drag him there and dump him back in the chair just for the heck of it? I’m so confused...what’s going on? Let’s ask Weyland...
Oh...wait. He already died in Alien vs Predator...He had terminal cancer...a predator killed him and the building he was in was nuked and crushed under tens of thousands of tons of ice...
What the hell was he doing in Prometheus?
The whole movie was a crappy Stargate SG1 script.
They had that planned for two season apparently. I noticed the connection almost immediately after all the relevant characters were introduced. (Trying not to spoil it for anyone.)
I also liked the reason the battle was called the Battle of Demons Run. And I liked that it introduced a few extra characters, instead of just bringing back ones from the current season. I'm hoping we get to see more of those. (Apparently, Capt Jack Harkness should have made an appearance but he was busy filming that lousy piece of crap he did for Showtime. Ick.)
Yeah, I spoiled the River Song connection for myself a while ago because I went snooping around the net reading all I could find about the Doctor Who story line. I didn’t watch the old series, but picked it up on Netflix with the last 6 seasons. It was confusing at first, so I needed to read more background.
Also, I wish they would stop with saying that they are going in opposite directions, because it's obviously not true and couldn't possibly be true. For one thing, their diaries would never sync up. Each new page in his journal would be one fewer page in hers.
Do you have a favorite Doctor or a favorite sidekick?
I thought the chemistry between Billie Piper and David Tennant was incredible. I was so sad to see it end, but she ended up with a David Tennant clone. Piper is definitely my favorite sidekick. She showed emotion much more deeply than the others.
I didn’t know about Matt Smith at first, but he has grown on me. Gillan is really cute, but doesn’t do much for me.
I also liked Eccleston as the Doctor. He was a bit more cerebral than the others, but it worked.
I guess Tennant is considered the best in the new series and Tom Baker in the old ones. Tennant really refined the campiness factor. I’ve only watched a couple of episodes of the old - not enough to make an educated judgement.

I always liked that quote.
And then he could turn serious on a dime. (Actually, a little too serious toward the end for me.)
The man had fun with it, which is probably why I would have loved to have had David Morrissey as the Next Doctor instead of Matt Smith. That guy could chew scenery with the best of them.
I also really liked the first two eps on Sunday of Falling Skies.
Very good. I didn’t think you’d recognize the characters. Next week will be much harder. You’ve been getting these too easily.
