Brewing a molasses 'beer' and one that is the same only with added ginger root. They are OLD recipes, but I figured I'd give 'em a try. I was very suprised at the flavor of the wort. It may be pretty good.

I seem to remember one of the founding fathers had a molasses beer. Then again, spruce, molasses, corn, heather, were all common. Ya brewed with what was available!
