You have to watch the time of year and your airline, and make careful arrangements.

But this breeder has shipped many times before. She gave me very detailed instructions on what to do at my end. Worked out great, three cheers for Midwest Express, they took really good care of my puppy.

I don’t think it’s that hard to ship, when I’ve called the airlines just to check on it and from talking with other breeders it seems fairly easy but we just have not done it. What’s interesting is that USDA is claiming a lot of people are getting “sick” dogs because they are not seeing them before purchase, BUT...the dogs need to have a health certificate stating that they are healthy and must be vet checked within 10 days of shipping. If dogs are being sent sick to their new owners, why are the veterinarians signing off on them? Why aren’t THEY being looked into for being shoddy vets?
