Same thing happened to me, but I was only with my wife half as long as you. That was hard enough, but 33 years wow. Best of luck to you man.

Sounds familiar - was married 27 years here but that was almost 20 years ago. Her “needs” were “do everything I say.” As far as I know, no one took her up on the offer to meet her needs. But I must admit I got lucky, now married 14 years to a real woman who takes her vows seriously.

She wants a divorce after 33 years??? Sorry to hear that and yes I know couples that divorced after many years and the one that instigates it never seems to be happy after the divorce either. Hang in there.
