Colonel Sweeney of the USAAF: "I am sold on the effectiveness of high-level bombing. If we can get enough planes for attacks like these, nothing can escape us, since we can lay bombs in patterns which no ships can avoid," and he added that "we had a lot of fun."

I'm sure Col. Sweeney had naval aviators lining up to buy him drinks at the officers club.
