Hey PJ, I’m not a Firefox user, but make sure your security settings aren’t so tight that it isn’t allowing YouTube to launch flash plugins.
Pale Moon
flash player updated ?
JavaScript turned on ?
I did have some trouble with some of them, but this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh0AhrY9GjA&feature=player_embedded#! is ok sort of. It seems to freeze at first.
Clear your cache and browsing history. Check your plugins:

Also, set dom.storage.enabled to TRUE:

That sometimes happens randomly on videos, but if it is every video you try to watch, my bet is on Javascript not being enabled. Go to Tools > Options > Content > Enable JavaScript, and make sure it is checked. If not that, then update your Flash player, and if not that, update Firefox.
Also, make sure you are not running Firefox in “No Add-Ons” mode.
Also, try deleting everything in your “Temporary Internet Files” folder. There is a size limit on this folder, but Windows will not give you a warning or error message when it is reached. If it is full, then youtube cannot download the temporary file of the video to your computer, so it cannot play.
Rugrats are out of school doing their rugrat thing. Happened last year and within a couple of weeks they lost interest and the situation improved.
I had that problem when I declined googles new “guidleine”. Once I did that, I could not get my you tube to work unless I went to IE.
Once on IE, I had no problem getting into you tube.
I have had problems w/ YouTube Audio(Video is fine)in Firefox lately. I have switched to Google Chrome for YouTube and have had no problems(yet).
