Would someone knowledgeable on the subject tell me just what the Hell Vatican II did/said to stop excommunications from the church?
There’s no way on God’s good, green Earth that this harpy would still be allowed within 500 ft. of hallowed ground just a few centuries ago. Instead, she can continue to blaspheme the highest orders of the Catholic institution and probably still walk the line on Sunday for the Host.

There’s a doctrine called self excommunication,put forward by John Paul II. Catholics who had, paid for, or supported evils like abortion had self excommunicated themselves. This was a way of not having to deal with very public Catholics who supported things like abortion without the public rite of excommunication. That was feared would create a public schism as catholics took sides. However, Pelosi goes into different territory. She is effectively saying that the Church teachers are wrong and going against their teaching is a proper path. This can lead Catholics into grave sin. For the Church to show the Faithful that Pelosi is leading them to grave sin she NEEDS to be publicly excommunicated.Save her recanting, there is no other way.
