Noonan: What's Changed After Wisconsin

What hasn't changed is that Peggy still writes like she's paid by the word.

President Obama's problem now isn't what Wisconsin did, it's how he looks each day—careening around, always in flight, a superfluous figure. No one even looks to him for leadership now. He doesn't go to Wisconsin, where the fight is. He goes to Sarah Jessica Parker's place, where the money is.

This image is key. It's very tough to undo, once created.

He'll need riots, a new war, or a bad hurricane to begin to erase the image.

He can gin up the first two, but not the third, unless Rove loans him the machine.

Peggy doesn’t care for Gov Walkers style and says so. didn’t she also dump on Sarah Palin if I remember correctly.

Peggy is an elitest who can’t figure out how real committed people win their battles and inspire others?

The voters in Wisconsin took measure of Gov Walker and went to the polls to beat back his enemies. They had his back Peggy they didn’t need an orator, they needed a leader who did what they asked of him.

So I hate to say it but fupn.

No, Peggy; we will NOT forget that you betrayed all of America with your public support of this commie, muslim, Kenyan usurper in 2008.

Peggy made some observations I think are wrong, but in line with her poor judgement in the past five years or so.

First, there is not a major shift in the country away from Obama and his Czar’s socialism. The country did not vote for a socialist. Obama media created an image of a populist guy who would protect Amercians from corporate Treasury raiders and balance the Federal budget. He was elected because the media spun him as a racial healer for the country - the opposite of the racist just-us Deparment. He was elected because the media and McCain hid his radical, black racist background. So the country is where it has always been - right - although Pegs got confused hanging out with the limo crowd in New York City and being old, she got taken in by the reality show and chants.

Second, Bill Clinton has a method to his “madness”. Its not because he is old and losing control of himself in critizing Obama (although Pegs can’t say the same). He wants Obama as a one term guy because he thinks he can easily beat Romney in 2016 after conservative Americans get a load of the elitist globalist idiot that he is. Otherwise, Hillary would have to run on Obama’s failed record when America has sunk into Obama’s South African Marxist hell and hate the Democrat Party.

Peggy is a feeble image of her Regan days. But in her fading faculties, she fits in fine with the limo-liberals now.

Public unions was given bargaining rights in Wisconsin in 1959, the first state to do so, not that long ago. It was wrong then and it's wrong now.

I was born in Wisconsin, as was the Republican Party!

And I knocked on 3000 doors for Walker and was 15 feet from him at his Victory Party,

Reagan Palin Walker - Three of a kind!

By Peggy Noonan. I believe the sentiment expressed “FUPN” in a previous post is most appropriate:

Obama and the Runaway Train

The race, the case, a hope for grace.
The Wall Street Journal: October 29, 2008
The case for Barack Obama, in broad strokes:

He has within him the possibility to change the direction and tone of American foreign policy, which need changing; his rise will serve as a practical rebuke to the past five years, which need rebuking; his victory would provide a fresh start in a nation in which a fresh start would come as a national relief. He climbed steep stairs, born off the continent with no father to guide, a dreamy, abandoning mother, mixed race, no connections. He rose with guts and gifts. He is steady, calm, and, in terms of the execution of his political ascent, still the primary and almost only area in which his executive abilities can be discerned, he shows good judgment in terms of whom to hire and consult, what steps to take and moves to make. We witnessed from him this year something unique in American politics: He took do

Can’t think of any writer I respect LESS than Noonan, especially after her twin disgraces of 2008, in her elitist condescention of Palin and her slobbering adoration of Obama. Noonan repulses me to the very core.
