He represents IID on the Coachella Association of Governments and serves as an adviser over the ethics initiatives in the district’s Six-Point Action Plan for 2012..

Director Sanchez is an adviser for the district’s comprehensive infrastructure plan that seeks to develop and implement asset life-cycle management policies and practices.

(CBS 8) - A board member of the Imperial County Irrigation District is under investigation Thursday for allegedly abusing his stepson, and a neighbor says he caught an incident on tape.

The disturbing video shows a man repeatedly striking the 10-year-old boy with a belt while the two are playing catch in their backyard just south of El Centro in Imperial County. A neighbor who shot the video turned it over to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department Thursday.

Anthony Sanchez, 34, sits on the board of the Imperial Irrigation District. Relatives say Sanchez also coaches youth baseball.
