Don’t towns have dog catchers anymore?
A man in California went to prison for throwing a dog onto a busy freeway. The dog was killed. This woman should be in prison.
As for cops shooting dogs, I’ve never heard of a mailman having to shoot one.
If this story stands as it was related and the dumb beeatch chief does not loose her job and the city sued, then there is no justice.
It's one of the many perqs that comes with the job.............

This was a BIG topic on KLBJ in Austin Sunday and yesterday morning. Lots of angry callers about the “No calls were returned” issue.
If there was shooting outside my house, my dog came inside and died from a bullet wound and then a lone LEO showed up at my back door to threaten me and call me names, she’d be a goner even if I had to take a hit to make it happen. People like her don’t deserve to breath air.

It is pretty accurate as callers to KLBJ confirmed yesterday.
And what is it with cops killing pets in Texas? This is the third or fourth story I’ve seen in 10 days. I thought Texas was one of the last places where the USA was still like the USA used to be. I’d hate for that to change.
I’m thinking along the same lines. Kill my dog on my property, I will opt to use the Texas Law to defend my “Property” through the use of lethal force. And yes, I do value my animals more than people like that.
Why do they need them? The local constabulary seems to be more than up to the task.
It’s a damned shame that if a cop knocks on your door you have to make sure your little puppy doesn’t dash out and try to lick the cop’s shoes. And I guess if you have one in your back yard they can just go back there and shoot at will.
And these local yokels are the ones we think will be on our side in a revolution. I don’t think so.
Heck yes. I know my animals and they know me. An I know some LEOs like to stomp all over little people like me. So it's a no-brainer.
Plus, in that situation I would not likely be rational or in the mood to take orders from anyone. Some of us have less to lose than others and might make unexpected judgement calls. And some honest folk are handier with weapons than the usual street riff-raff. LEOs should be mindful of that.
Since New Jersey just passed a law that imposes $1000 fine if your dog is in your car and not in a seat belt.
This means the dogs now have the legal status of a child.
Can a cop shoot you child?
Only if he/she is snarling or barking.
LOL, who thinks that?! If TSHTF the barneys will hole up down at the station and only leave if they need to "procure" items like food or drugs or something nice for the missus (all at an M4 discount, of course). They will be nothing better than well-equipped gangs.
