As a wrestling fan, I'm pretty sure I prayed for this to happen a couple dozen years ago and now that it's happened...I couldn't be more excited.
And thank God America's White Boy discovered this amazing video so I can cross another item off my bucket list.
Apparently, over the weekend, wrestling legend George "The Animal" Steele threw out the first pitch at a Rochester Red Wings game. No big deal, right?
Well, fans of the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins got exactly what I would've hoped for from the 75-year-old WWE Hall of Famer.

For all the 'older' wrestling fans like me.
The Animal throwing out a first pitch the way only he can.
75 years old and still going strong. :-)

Also an actor (he played wrestler Tor Johnson in Ed Wood)

Wish he could have pitched for the Rangers last night.

Awesome video. Too bad only the other older-40’s (at least) out there would appreciate it, though.

Thanks for the video link!
The Animal was always one of my favorites, especially when he would eat the padding in the ring posts.
I hold him right up there with “Maddog” Vachon, Chief Wahoo McDaniel and Abdullah The Butcher.
Now them there was ~real~ wrasslers!

I don’t think he was in Ed Wood. Wasn’t it Wood’s Plan 9 that he was in?

Loved Mean Gene’s commentary when Animal would eat ring post
padding.

From Wiki -
"After gaining a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University and a master's degree from Central Michigan University,[6] Myers became a teacher, amateur wrestling coach, and football coach at Madison High School in Madison Heights, Michigan. There he would eventually become a member of the Michigan Coaches Hall of Fame.[1][7]"

I dont think he was in Ed Wood. Wasnt it Woods Plan 9 that he was in? Tor Johnson was in Plan 9 From Outer Space. George Steele played Tor Johnson in 'Ed Wood'

I think he was in the movie “Ed Wood”, a Tim Burton film which was about the life of Ed Wood. The film “Ed Wood” had as a primary story line the making of Plan 9 From Outer Space. Steele played Tor Johnson, who was the actor that played in Plan 9.
Critics now agree that Steele was robbed of the “Best Supporting Wrestler Character” Oscar that year.
