Genesis 38. And if you don’t like my interpretation of Genesis 38 then you should refer to the interpretation of the authority that Jesus called upon to interpret these things (Matthew 16:18-20) - the Holy Catholic Church. Those who reject the Catholic interpretation and teaching on contraception are acting like those in Judges when each man did what was right in his own eyes.
And for those who reject God’s Church I appeal to you based on reason and natural law. Those societies who reject sexual immorality flourish - the next generation belongs to those who bother to show up for it. The Greeks and the Romans all had TFRs (Total fertility rates) below replacement levels leading up to their demise.
