Cute lil’ booger.
Evinrude was a rescue, when the late Igor and I were campground hosts for the USNFS. We were at Reedsport, OR, and a family knocked on the door of our 5th wheel, holding a scrawny little kitty. They told us he had been wandering around the campsite.
We took him, and I checked him out...ear mites, FLEEZE, ugga, ugga, ugga!
Local animal authorities said that because of the mites, they would put him down. (NOT on MY watch, she sez!)
I took him to a vet, got the otic solution that was needed, then bought some flea bath at Fred Meyer.
I bathed him and watched as fleas leaped to their deaths. I rinsed him, then washed him again. When I dried him the second time, we put the drops in his ears.
In the meantime, his purr was amplified by 1500 dB.
Hw would chase a ball and bring it back to chase it again; he wouly crawl up on my back, and rub his head against me, letting me know how grateful he was. One of the VERY BEST kittehs I have ever rescued!
I would love to find a kitteh like him!
