another video in which he explains how to play "Deep River Blues" fingerpicking style in a way that makes it seem approachable. (With an extra finger or two you'd think you wouldn't have to be as fast as when he plays with a flat pick. That's often the way I feel
before I try something.)

It’s hard to explain to my friends. I fingerpick everything,,, Gatton,,, Hellecasters, my own stuff. They can’t see the relationship to Doc;s playing. Yeah, I’ve done a lot of extrapolation,,,, but it’s all Doc!
